Executive function coach UK & Online - About

Collaborative, strengths-based executive function coaching for every part of life

Jeanette Hunter | Executive Function Coach UK

I am a neurodivergent Executive Function Coach based in Scotland, working online with adults across the UK and worldwide. I work with people who want to understand themselves better, get on top of the things that feel hard, and make progress towards goals that actually matter to them.

I came to executive function coaching through a combination of professional experience and personal recognition. For many years I have worked directly with other neurodivergent people, first as a teacher in a private secondary school and for over 8 years supporting neurodivergent business owners with planning, accountability and strategies to help achieve their goals. Seeing the difference that the right understanding and strategies could make is was what drew me to coaching.

More recently, I have had my own experience of navigating a particularly demanding season of life, the kind where multiple big things happen at once and your executive functions are tested in ways you did not anticipate. Learning about executive function more deeply during that time, and putting strategies in place, genuinely helped. That experience has informed my coaching, and given me a real appreciation for the difference that this kind of understanding can make when life is asking a lot of you.

Training & Qualifications

My coaching qualification is through MindSpark, whose Executive Function Coach training is informed by educational psychologists in the US.

Coaching

Executive function coaching is a supportive, non-judgmental process. It’s coachee-led, which means we work at your pace, on the things that matter most to you.

We start by exploring your day-to-day challenges through an executive function lens, looking at what’s getting in the way and why. Executive functions are the skills that help us plan, prioritise, manage our time, regulate our emotions, and follow through on things. When these feel difficult, there’s usually a good reason for it, and understanding that reason is often where the most useful shifts begin.

From there, we work together to build self-awareness, develop practical strategies, and strengthen habits that are realistic and sustainable for you. Every plan is shaped around how you actually work, not a generic template.

We reflect regularly on what’s helping and what isn’t, and adjust as we go. The goal is for you to leave with a genuine understanding of how you work, and with tools and strategies you can keep using long after our sessions have ended.

Coaching can support areas like organisation, time management, motivation, emotional regulation, planning, and managing transitions. Whatever is most relevant to you.

Supporting neurodivergent business owners

If you run your own business, executive function challenges can show up in particularly layered ways. For example, self-direction, managing competing priorities, staying motivated without external structure, and wearing every hat at once.

I’ve spent many years working alongside neurodivergent business owners, and much of that time was spent helping them build systems and routines that actually stick. I understand the reality of running a business when certain things consistently feel harder than they should. That experience informs how I coach, and means we can focus on what’s practical and achievable for your specific situation.

Whether you’re looking for support in your work, your business, or your everyday life at home, I’d love to have a conversation about where you are and what might help.

An open space

Everyone is welcome here

I aim to work in a space where everyone feels genuinely comfortable. That includes LGBTQ+ people, people of colour, perimenopausal and menopausal women, neurodivergent people of all kinds, and anyone else who has ever wondered whether coaching like this was really meant for them.

It also includes people who do not fall into any of those categories. Executive function challenges do not discriminate, and neither do I.

Who I work with

The people I tend to work with

My clients come from all walks of life. What they tend to have in common is a sense that things could feel a bit easier, or a recognition that understanding themselves better would help. Many are navigating something significant, whether that is a diagnosis, a life transition, a season of burnout, or simply a few areas of daily life that have always felt harder than they think they should.
